Quartet 101: New to the quartet world or ready to evolve your sound? Join Clever Girl for a course in all things quartetting: coaching, competition prep, music selection, outfits, quartet personnel, rehearsals, song assessment tool/copyright, and a live Q&A.

Quartet Smarter, Not Harder: Is your quartet lost in a jungle of arrangements? Feeling like you’re being chased by the wrong chart? Struggling to survive the wild terrain of musical choices that don’t quite fit your sound? Then it’s time to quartet smarter, not harder! In this class, you’ll learn how to avoid musical extinction by selecting and customizing arrangements that fit your quartet—not the other way around.

Getting Out of Your Head and Into Your Heart: Every song has a story to tell, and it’s up to the performer to bring the story to life for the audience. But it’s not always easy to take what’s on the page and turn it into an emotionally-charged performance. This class is about stepping out of your logical, “control room” brain and into your wild, beating heart—yes, even if that means (gasp!) being emotionally vulnerable on stage. Scary? Yes. Worth it? 100%. Find how to deliver a performance that allows the audience to feel their own story in yours. Because a song that’s only sung isn’t the same as a story that’s truly felt.

Let’s Sing A Tag! Do you love singing tags? Are you low-key terrified by them? Or are you still wondering, “What is a tag, and does it bite?” Whether you're a newbie or a tag-singing expert, this class will immerse you in the thrilling, satisfying art form that is tag singing. You’ll learn new tags, sing in both large and small ensembles, and even get the chance to teach a tag if you're up for the challenge. We’ll also explore digital resources like the Good Tags app and dig into some of the BEST tags according to Barbershop legend David Wright.
 
Registration Deadline: Registration for the Jurassic Chords Quartet Retreat closes on July 25, 2025.

What’s Included in the $75 Registration Fee: Your registration fee includes access to all four classes with Clever Girl and admission to the Diamond Division and Rising Star Quartet Contests. Please note: Diamond Division and Rising Star performance recordings are not included in the registration fee. Access to these must be purchased separately. Attendees will be responsible for their own food and beverage throughout the event.

Refunds: Refunds of 50% of the $75.00 registration fee may be granted on a case-by-case basis until July 25, 2025. No refunds will be issued after this date. For refund requests, please contact events@sweetadelines.com.

Transfers: Registration transfers will not be processed after July 25, 2025. Transfers requested after this deadline must be completed on-site at the Registration Desk, located in Upper Lobby of the Hyatt.

Hotel Courtesy Block: Retreat attendees can make a reservation at our discounted rate by contacting the Hyatt Regency Tulsa Downtown at 918.234.1234 and asking for Tyfani Graves or Caroline Jones. The rate is $139.00 per night (Taxes: 16.517%, currently $22.96) for a total of $161.96 per night (subject to change based on applicable tax rates).

Parking: Daily parking is available for $10.00 in the secure parking garage adjacent to the hotel. Overnight guests can take advantage of a discounted parking rate of $12.00. The Hyatt Regency Tulsa is fully accessible, ensuring a comfortable experience for all attendees.

Airport Shuttle: For those flying in, the Hyatt Regency Tulsa Downtown offers complimentary 24/7 shuttle service between the airport and the hotel. Upon arrival in Tulsa, after collecting your luggage, please call 1-918-234-1234 and provide your airline carrier information. The hotel staff will give you instructions on where to meet the shuttle for pickup.
